Venue 74 Group Show
Bryanston School opens its art studio to the public for the first time. The school has a large and successful art department with an impressive list of ex-students some of whom are internationally recognised artists. The staff nurturing this talent are all practising artists in their own right working within several disciplines.
The work on show is in a variety of media, from ceramics and photography through to printmaking and painting, ranging from the figurative to the abstract. Visitors will find a delightful mix of artworks with depth and colour, richness and vitality - something to appeal to all tastes. Covid- safe workshops running throughout - See www.dorsetartweeks.co.uk/events for more details |
'Drawing on Dorset' Glebe Gallery, Venue 93
I am delighted that my drawing 'December Drifters' will be part of 'Drawing on Dorset' at The Glebe Gallery near Shaftesbury.
The exhibition was first shown in at the Fine Foundation Gallery, Durlston Country Park and travelled to The Lighthouse, Poole, The Slade Centre, Gillingham and Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester. The accompanying publication will be on sale from my studio. |
22/12/20 - Sadly we have had to close Wesca's latest show 'Altered States', early, due to current covid restrictions. Many thanks to those who have visited since it first opened at the end of October.
'Altered States' @ Guggleton Farm Arts, Stalbridge, Dorset
'Landslip, Bowleaze Cove' 2020 is one of three pieces on show in 'Altered States', a Wesca collaborative exhibition which has re-opened following November's lockdown.
'Drawn In' @Bridport Arts Centre 11th May to 16th June 2019
Drawing can be a finished product, or it can be a route to something new. It is much more than just the materials used, it is about exploring, enquiring, growing and becoming something else.
Nine artists from London, the South East and South West of England are showing some of their recent drawings here. These not only demonstrate their enormously varied approach to drawing, but they also give us precious insight into the way they work.
