Flux, Interwoven Ecosystem was made for a group exhibition at spudWORKS in Hampshire which ran for two weeks. In this work forms constructed from recycled textiles are colonised and transformed by Pink Oyster fungi. These pair and bond with unfired clay whose form reference the spaces left by the human body. The presence of the human expressed through its’ absence. Stitched textile forms inhabited by mycelial networks, branch structures bound, knotted by human hands. Fungi and clay in a state of flux. Hybrid beings that tell a story of the natural and geological history of the Earth.
